How does this check work?

It sends three questions to OpenAI (model gpt-4.1-mini) through the OpenAI API, with web search switched on and Malaysia set as the location.
The questions are written the way a customer asks: the best options in your town, a direct question about your business, and the alternatives.
Your business counts as named when its name appears in the answer, ignoring capitals, punctuation and Sdn Bhd.
Answers vary between runs and between assistants. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews can each answer differently.
Treat it as a snapshot of one assistant today, not a ranking. No tool can show a fixed AI ranking, because there is none.
Each check costs about RM 0.18 in API and search fees, paid by Pali, so it is limited to two a day.

What happens to what I type?

The three fields you fill in go to OpenAI to run the check, with storage switched off. This site keeps no business name, question or answer: only the day, a salted hash of your IP, a random cookie id and the cost, to hold the daily limit.

Questions about the AI visibility checker

Is this my ChatGPT ranking?

No. There is no fixed ranking inside ChatGPT or any other assistant. This shows what one assistant with web search said today, which is useful as a snapshot and a direction, not as a position.

Why did I get a different answer when I checked again?

AI assistants do not give the same answer twice. The web results they read, the wording they choose and the businesses they list can change from one run to the next.

Which AI assistant does the checker use?

An OpenAI model with web search, through the OpenAI API, set to Malaysia. The ChatGPT app, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews use their own models and sources, so they can answer differently.

What do you keep from my check?

Nothing personal. The business name, category, town and answers are not stored. Only the day, a salted hash of your IP, a random cookie id and the cost are kept, to hold the limit of two checks a day.

How do I get my business named by AI assistants?

Complete your Google Business Profile, publish a page that answers the questions customers ask, and get mentioned on Malaysian directories and in local press with the same description everywhere.
