Engagement terms.
These are the terms behind every Built by Pali engagement, in plain language. The written quote for your engagement sets the specifics and prevails where the two differ.

How does every engagement start?
With the Discovery Sprint: 5 working days for RM 300, paid upfront. You receive a product requirements document, a technical architecture, a clickable prototype and a fixed quote. Every deliverable is yours to keep, whether or not you continue.
How is the Discovery Sprint credited?
If you continue, the full Sprint fee is credited against the first invoice of whichever engagement follows: a fixed-scope project, a subscription or a fractional or full-time CTO engagement. The Sprint is not refunded, because you keep every deliverable.
How are projects billed?
- A fixed quote and a milestone plan follow the Sprint.
- Each milestone is invoiced after a working demo you can click.
- Payment schedule by project size: Under RM 1,800: 50% to start, 50% at launch; RM 1,800 to under RM 15,000: 40% to start, 30% at the first working demo, 30% at launch; From RM 15,000: 30%, 25%, 25%, 20% across 4 milestones set in the Sprint.
- You see a working demo every week, not only at milestones.
- Changes in scope are quoted before the work starts, never billed afterwards.
Is there a warranty after launch?
Yes. Every project includes a free 30-day launch warranty, starting on the launch date: bug fixes in the delivered scope, at no charge. New features, changes and work outside the delivered scope are quoted separately or run on a subscription.
How are monthly plans billed?
- The subscription and fractional CTO time are billed in advance.
- The subscription has a 3-month minimum, then runs month to month, with notice before the next billing date.
- After the 3-month minimum, the subscription can be paused before the next billing date, with no fee while paused.
- Paying the subscription yearly costs 10 months for 12: Site Care RM 900, Maintain RM 4,500 or Develop RM 9,000 a year.
- Every plan includes ticket support with a reply within 3 working days. Priority support (WhatsApp or call, Mon to Fri, 9am to 6pm MYT) is RM 150 a month more and follows the plan's billing. A product built elsewhere starts with a RM 360 takeover check. Fractional CTO time has a 3-month minimum.
- Maintain includes up to 8 hours of small changes a month; more than that moves to Develop. Each Develop request is sized to up to 1 week of work; bigger work is quoted as a project.
- One-off work is RM 45 an hour with a minimum of 4 hours; a full day is RM 300.
Who pays for hosting and third-party services?
You do, at cost. Hosting, domains, app store fees and third-party API or service costs are billed to your own accounts and are not included in any project, plan or rate.
Who owns the code and the design?
You do, once each invoice is paid. Repositories, hosting and app store accounts are set up in your name from the start, so nothing is held back at handover.
Open-source libraries, fonts and third-party services keep their own licences, which are listed in the handover notes.
Can I move to another developer?
Yes, at any time. The code lives in your own GitHub from the first commit, and every project includes documentation and a handover of the code, docs and accounts, so another developer can continue without starting again.
Is SST charged?
Built by Pali is not registered for SST. No SST is charged. Prices, quotes, estimates and invoices are in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) without SST.
How are prices and quotes set?
Published prices are starting points from the public rate card. The calculator gives a range, not a quote. The fixed quote after the Discovery Sprint is the price you pay for the agreed scope.
How is my data handled?
Your product data and credentials are used only for your engagement. Credentials are kept per project in an encrypted vault, never in a repository, a chat log or a summary. Personal data from this website is handled under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, as set out in the privacy notice.
Who do I contract with?
Built by Pali is operated by Mushnor Heritage Resources (SSM 201803323851 / 002884313-T). Your agreement, quotes and invoices are with Mushnor Heritage Resources, registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM).
