Local SEO in Malaysia means a complete Google Business Profile, the same name, address and phone on every listing, LocalBusiness schema for each location, pages in BM and English, and a steady flow of reviews you reply to. Use the checklist below, or let Pali's Search Growth plan run it for RM 2,400 a month.

What goes in a Google Business Profile?

  • The exact business name, as registered, with no keywords added.
  • A primary category and any secondary categories that truly fit.
  • Services listed with prices in RM where you publish them.
  • Opening hours, plus special hours for public holidays.
  • Real photos of the premises, team and work, added regularly.
  • Questions and answers kept current where the profile shows them.
  • Posts for offers, news and events.
  • The website link pointing to the matching location page.

Which other map listings matter in Malaysia?

Listing What to do
Apple Business Connect Claim the place so iPhone users see the right details in Apple Maps
Bing Places Claim or import the listing so Bing and Copilot show it
Waze Add or correct the place so drivers can navigate to you

How do I keep NAP consistent?

  • Pick one form of the name, address and phone, and write it down.
  • Use it word for word on the website footer and contact page.
  • Match it on every listing and directory, including old ones.
  • Update every copy when you move or change number.

What schema does a local business need?

  • LocalBusiness schema (or a more specific type) on each location page.
  • The same name, address and phone as the listings.
  • Opening hours, geo coordinates and the page URL.
  • AggregateRating only for reviews collected on your own site.

How should I handle reviews?

  • Ask every satisfied customer for a review, with a direct link.
  • Reply to every review, good or bad, politely and soon.
  • Never buy reviews or offer rewards for good ones.

Where else should a Malaysian business be listed?

  • Facebook Page and Instagram profile with the same NAP.
  • Malaysian business directories and Yellow Pages Malaysia.
  • Foursquare, which feeds other map apps.
  • Industry associations and chambers you belong to.
  • Marketplace and delivery store pages where you sell, such as Shopee, Lazada, Grab or foodpanda.

Can Pali run this checklist for me?
