What else changes the price of an ERP?

  • Users. Up to 20 users are included. 21 to 100 users add RM 600; more than 100 add RM 1,500.
  • Data migration. Importing from spreadsheets adds RM 450. Moving from an accounting system such as AutoCount, SQL Account or UBS adds RM 1,000.
  • Where it runs. Cloud hosting is included. A local server in your office adds RM 600; hybrid adds RM 1,000.
  • Design and languages. Custom design adds 20%; English and Bahasa Malaysia together add 15%.
  • Rush. Delivering faster than the normal plan adds 25%.

Should my ERP run in the cloud or on a local server?

Setup Best when Adds
Cloud Staff work from several places and you want hosting managed for you Included
Local server Your office network must keep working without internet, or data must stay on site RM 600
Hybrid You want local speed plus a cloud backup and remote access RM 1,000

For most Malaysian SMEs, cloud is the simpler choice. A local or hybrid setup suits factories, warehouses and outlets with patchy internet.

What does an ERP cost after launch?

ERP Care is 18% of the build price a year, billed monthly from RM 150. It covers:

  • hosting management, or remote monitoring for a local server;
  • daily backups and security updates;
  • bug fixes;
  • Malaysian compliance updates, such as LHDN e-invoice and payroll rule changes;
  • small changes;
  • ticket support within 3 working days.

Commit to ERP Care for 12 months and the build is 10% cheaper. Servers and databases are passed through at cost. New features after launch go on the Develop plan at RM 900 a month.

How long does it take to build an ERP?

The core takes about 6 weeks. Most modules add one or two weeks each, and you see a working demo every week, so staff can try real screens long before go-live.

Should I build a custom ERP or buy packaged software?

Packaged accounting or ERP software fits a business whose processes match the package, and it is usually faster to switch on. A custom ERP fits when your workflow is how you win: a costing method, an approval chain or a mix of branches that packages force into workarounds. A common middle path is to keep your accounting package and build only the operations modules around it.

How do I get a fixed quote for my ERP?

  1. Pick your modules in the ERP calculator for a range in RM and weeks.
  2. Book the one-week Discovery Sprint (RM 300) to map your workflows and get a fixed quote.
  3. Build in milestones. See the full rate card, how fixed-scope app development works, and what LHDN e-invoice integration costs.

Frequently asked questions

Both are modules you add when you need them: LHDN e-invoice at RM 750 and SST at RM 300, each on top of the sales or accounting module. No SST is charged.

Yes. Most SMEs start with accounting, sales and inventory, then add payroll, a staff app or a customer portal once the core is in daily use. Each later module is priced from the same rate card.

You do, once each milestone is paid. The code, the database and the hosting accounts are set up in your name, so you can move to another developer at any time.

No. Cloud hosting, a local server, databases and devices are paid by you, at cost and with no markup. ERP Care covers looking after them, not buying them.

Yes. The core works in any browser, and the staff app module (RM 1,200) puts approvals, payslips, leave and claims on iOS and Android. Attendance, stock counts, delivery proof and field service are optional add-ons from RM 450 each.

No. It gives a range of plus or minus 15%. The fixed quote follows the one-week Discovery Sprint, once the workflows are written down.
