How is this measured?
- Google Search Console: clicks, impressions, average position and top queries for each calendar month, read through the Search Console API with a read-only account.
- AI answers: a fixed set of buyer questions, versioned so months compare like for like, asked once a month. Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overview are asked in a logged-out browser; ChatGPT through the official OpenAI API with web search, because chatgpt.com sends logged-out visitors to a sign-in page.
- Named means the answer mentions the business by name. Cited means one of its sources links to the site. A sign-in wall, CAPTCHA or missing AI Overview is recorded as not measured.
- Site health: six checks run against the live home page as a crawler sees it: structured data, answer-first block, FAQ, llms.txt, mobile speed and language versions.
- Every month is a JSON file in our repository; nothing is edited after the month closes.

Are these numbers real?
Yes. Every figure comes from Google Search Console, a recorded AI answer or an audit of the live site, stored month by month. Anything we could not measure is marked as not measured, never filled in.
Which AI assistants are checked?
ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overview, with the same questions every month so the trend is fair.
Why do some answers say not measured?
An assistant asked us to sign in, showed a CAPTCHA or showed no AI Overview for that search. We do not sign in or bypass those checks, so we record the answer as not measured.
